Hurray! Connected Again

We are back on line and I can update my blog! Since I last blogged Erica and Bridget both had birthdays. We had great parties with Turkish friends. Bridget invited some friends from the apartment and none of them came. Until my friend who came saved the day and called all their parents to tell them she was here and it was okay for them to come. My friend is an English teacher and has been a great help to us. So, all of her friends came and they had a great time.

Dean is working on the language and so am I but not as much. I have made tons of mistakes learning to live here. It is fun if you can laugh at yourself. I tried to steal a lady's chicken sandwich at the mall. I ordered and went to sit down and wait for it to get done. When I saw it come up I went to the counter to get it. The lady very possesively pulled the tray towards herself said something to her husband and gave me a dirty look. After standing there a bit I realized oh I was supposed to hand them my receipt so they would know what to make me. Of course I have no idea where I put my receipt so I have no proof that I ordered a chicken sandwich too and I wasn't trying to steal hers. I finally found my receipt and got my sandwich but it was after the lady had gone so she's left thinking some crazy foreigner tried to steal her sandwich.

Spencer is rolling over and getting so big! He's very cute and fun! Bridget has 4 loose teeth and Erica 1. Keegan knows how to wink and it makes my heart happy when he winks at me.
